Joseph Paul Murray (68) of Virginia Beach VA died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Sentara Hospice House. He was born October 19, 1948 in Wabasha, MN, son of Joseph and Margaret (Peterson) Murray. He graduated in 1967 from Pepin High School.
He married Carol Norris in Chippewa Falls, WI. They later divorced. They had one son, Joseph Alan Murray.
Joe lived the last 20 years in Virginia Beach working in sales, a job he loved and was well suited for. He will be remembered for his quick wit and razor sharp humor.
Joe is survived by his son Joe (Lara), Bloomington, MN; companion Patti Martino and family, Virginia Beach; mother Margaret Murray Pepin; sisters Sigrid Wendt (Jerry), Boyd, WI; Michelle Murray, Pepin; Victoria King, Pepin; Gail Barringer, Pepin; Andrea Hoisington, Wasilla, AK; brothers Tim (Jane) Murray, Pepin; Dan (Anne) Murray, Pepin; numerous neieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by Father Joseph and sister Penelope, brother-in-laws Paul Barringer and John Hoisington.
Funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 5 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pepin. Visitation one hour prior to service.
