Plum City American Legion Post 365 senior legion shortshop chosen for all-star team
Plum City – Dylan Bjork, shortstop for the Plum City Legion Post 365 Baseball team was selected to represent his team in the upcoming 2014 Wisconsin All Star game.
Bjork will be attending Wisconsin American Legion All Star events and play in the All Star game after the 1:05 p.m. Brewers v. Dodgers game, August 10, 2014 at Miller Park in Milwaukee.
Bjork is currently batting .385 in Legion baseball play. “Dylan is a great baseball player. He has a great work ethic, sound fundamentals and knows the game. He leads by example, takes the time to help younger players improve and maintains great communication with teammates and coaches. We are honored that he was selected and proud of Dylan’s efforts this season,” said Coach Rob Funk.
Bjork graduated last May from Pepin Senior High School where he played baseball for the Pepin-Alma Eagles. Bjork was selected as a 1st Team All-Conference player in the lower Dunn-St. Croix. Bjork is the son of Eric and Vicki Bjork of Stockholm, WI.
Bjork will be attending Viterbo University in the fall where he will major in Sports Science.
