On the defense with Cotter, the B Squad stays on top of the game.

Let’s go Cardinals...Here we go...

Kingsland takes the win from L-A Cardinals

The Cardinals traveled to face the Kingsland Knights Tuesday, The game was fast paced and very exciting!
Coach Brian Menk noted “There is a lot to say about this one. It was a back and forth battle. After a strong defensive first 10 minutes, our defense lapsed and let the Knights catch up and take the lead. The first half was physical and starting to get a little out of hand as far as keeping our heads. The second half was very different in that regard. I am very proud of how our guys handled a raucous crowd, and some continued rough play by the Knights. Cullin Neeck lead the way once again with 25pts and 19 rebounds. A couple of guys really stand out as well. First of all, the defensive energy and presence by our lone senior John Heim was just what our team needed to spark some change in our defensive mindset. He was flat out awesome on defense, 4 rebounds and 5 steals to go with his 0 turnovers. Our young point guard (Alex Brown) also played very well tonight. He dished out 7 assists. In the end, they made a great play to attempt to take the lead in the closing seconds. Our guys played very well and came up a little short.......I am very proud of them.”
Stats: Cullin Neeck (#43) 25 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assist, 3 blocks; Landon Kieffer (#41) 11 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal; Alex Brown (#13) 10 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal; Logan Knutson (#3) 8 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steal; Peyton Schumacher (#11) 3 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal; Collin Ellinghuysen (#21) and Bradley Miller (#31) each added 2 points.
