Simple. A Baby Store opens in Lewiston

Simple.ababystore has recently moved to a new store front in Lewiston, on Debra Dive next to Subway in Lewiston. This cute store carries your favorite eco-friendly and handmade items for the whole family...but especially for babies. Audrey Wenzel will greet you with her friendly smile and her knowledge of eco-friendly items offered in the store. Audrey’s sister, Amanda Ziebell is her silent partner that takes care of the background work.
The Simple start begins with two sisters and the co-owners of Simple. A Baby Store are Audrey Wenzel and Amanda Ziebell, two sisters originally from Rushford, MN. For years they have talked daily over coffee about owning a small business together. When Cloth Diapers Today (founded 2008) came up for sale, they knew the time was right and purchased the store in March 2013!
Audrey, who manages the retail store, is a proud mother of three and has a degree in early childhood development. She looks forward to helping customers explore how simple and healthy the first years of parenting can be!
Amanda’s background is in organizational development. She is primarily behind the scenes making sure your experience with Simple. A Baby Store is positive, productive and family-friendly. The two work together, Audrey on the scene and Amanda behind the scene.
Together the sisters believe that growing healthy babies, supporting healthy mamas and promoting a healthy planet can and should be simple.
And that’s how Simple. A Baby Store was born!
The store offers a diapering system to try out the different types of diapers so to answer all your questions about the handcrafted merchandise or cloth diapering in general.
Audrey shares, “Stop by for a cup of coffee and a look around the store while your kids enjoy our play area! Everything is child friendly.”
“Space is also available for your events. We can accommodate up to 30 people so consider Simple for your next baby shower, first birthday or event,” reiterated Audrey.
The store carries a great line of eco-friendly and handmade items that are consigned.
“We carry most popular brands of cloth diapers made with bamboo as well as eco-friendly cleaning supplies, handmade goat soap and lotions, toys and gifts. The store carries items for the whole family,” continued Audrey.
“We strive to work with talented local artisans and crafters in order to provide the very highest quality of handmade items. Soaps, lotions, scarves, mittens, toys and many homemade articles can be found here,” shared Audrey. “When you shop with us, you know that every item has been created with care by our carefully selected local partners. Also, if you are looking for a place to host your next birthday party,wedding shower, baby shower or any other event Simple will rent space for parties up to 30 people and includes use of the play area for kids!”
