Eleva Village Board holds summer meetings
ELEVA - The Eleva Village Board held three meetings this summer, one in July and two in June.
In an update on the village's dam repair at the July meeting of the Board at the Village Hall, Board members were told the Maintenance Operation Plan needed to be completed. The dam repairs have been approved by DNR – waiting to hear from village engineer when Janke Construction can start.
Other updates reviewed by Board members: Hwy 10 Sewer Repairs, new pickleball courts at the park, results from sanitary survey, control panels for the water panels at the plant and concession stand floor.
Board member Jacob Mai turned in his resignation notice for the Eleva/Albion Garbage and Recycling Director effective July 31.
In other agenda items, the Board approve bids for Corner Building Commercial space flooring to Johnson Flooring, LLC for $11340.00 to lay LVT per information supplied by contractor, amended ordinance for ATV/UTV route North Park Road to County Road U and approved two operator's licenses.
A special meeting of the Board took place on June 24 at the Village Hall for the purpose of employee reviews. No action was taken.
At the June 8 Board meeting, also held at the Village Hall, the Board unanimously approved a motion to set rent at the commercial space at Corner Building for $500/month until Jan. 1 to Staci Devine. They also approved a bid for a street project - Stebbins Street from No. Main Street - No. 3rd Street - overlay bids to Trempealeau Co. Highway Department for $9,190, approve bids for borders for Memorial Park and Lake Park playground areas to Lee Recreation, LLC for $10 – 6’ borders @ $1,240.00 for Lake Park, 10 – Borders for Memorial Park @ $550.00 and Ring Spacer and Hardware for Lake Park equipment @ $265.30 for a total of $2,055.30, approve Eleva-Strum Rail Riders ATV/UTV Club doing work at Eleva Park pole – use a multi-use metal, in line with same height and paint and approved all annual liquor, beer, cigarette and operator's licenses for local establishments.
