Osseo-Fairchild girls golf team looks to defend regional title
OSSEO - The Osseo-Fairchild High School Girls' Golf Team returns four starters and letter winners from last season's club which won a WIAA Division 2 regional meet championship.
These four starters are senior Izzy Popple and juniors Eleice Dahl, Trinity Knutson and Brenna Seefeldt. Both Dahl and Popple made all-conference and Dahl was the individual regional meet medalist.
The Thunder will have to find a replacement for graduated senior Madyson Rosman who graduated and was the CloverCrox Conference individual champion for the 2020 season.
So far in the 2021 season Popple has had the Thunder's top scores in non-conference meets against mostly Division 1 schools.
O-F will go through the CloverCroix portion of its scheduled for the next few weeks until the end of the month when they compete in the WIAA Division 2 Wisconsin Dells Regional Meet at the Trapper's Turn Golf Course on Sept. 29.
The Thunder will host this year's CloverCroix Conference Meet at Osseo Golf Course on Sept. 23. OFHS will look to win the conference title they had lost in last year's league meet when they finished second to the Eau Claire Regis/Altoona co-op squad. The Ramblers are currently ranked in the top 10 in the state in D-2.
