Isabelle ‘Dolly’ Eversman, 96, Wabasha
Isabelle “Dolly” Eversman, age 96, of Wabasha, died Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home in Wabasha. She was born April 22, 1920 on the Schones family farm in Greenfield Township of Wabasha County, near Kellogg, the daughter of Peter and Mary (Pritchard) Schones. She married Vincent Eversman May 2, 1946 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Kellogg. They farmed in Pepin Township, near Wabasha, until 1995 when he retired. The couple then moved into Wabasha and spent their winters in Florida. Vince died September 29, 2006.
Dolly was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha and a member of its Council of Catholic Women.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Raymond Eversman, Wabasha, MN, (Jocelyne C. West, Cape Coral, FL), Paul and Vicki Eversman, Wabasha, MN; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Paul Kruger, Wabasha, MN; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Eversman, son, Ralph Eversman, sisters, Rose Petersen and Sara Confer and brothers, Jerry, Neil and James Schones.
A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00am at St. Felix Catholic Church with the Reverend Fathers Gregory Parrott and Joseph LaPlante officiating. Interment was in St. Felix Cemetery. Family and friends called at Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha on Friday from 4pm until 8pm at which time a prayer service was held and they also called at the church on Saturday one hour before the Mass. Memorials are preferred to St. Elizabeth’s Community Development Foundation, 1200 5th Grant Blvd. W., Wabasha, MN 55981 or to St. Felix School, 130 3rd St. E., Wabasha, MN 55981.
