Kathleen Ann Vaplon

Kathleen Ann Vaplon, 87 of Wabasha, MN, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at her home in Wabasha.
Kathleen was born August 6, 1933, in Lake City, MN to William and Rosella (Pulles) Vaplon. She graduated from St. Felix High School.
Kathleen was a lifelong area resident and spent over thirty years working at 1st State Bank, Wabasha. In her free time, she enjoyed painting, gardening, flowers, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Kathleen is survived by her brother, Bob (Nancy) Vaplon, and sister, Connie Vaplon, along with her eight nieces and nephews; Bill (Sue) Krause, Larry (Darce) Krause, Gary (Tina) Krause, Frank (Kris) Krause, Jen (Craig) Fauss, Rick (Linda) Vaplon, Deb (Jim) Peters, and Lori (Mike) Wendland and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Alyce Krause.
A public visitation will be 5 to 7p.m. on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Abbott Funeral Home, Wabasha. Following CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing is expected.
The Funeral Mass will be 11a.m. on Tuesday April 6, 2021, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha, with Reverend Don Schmitz officiating. Following CDC guidelines, masks and social distancing is expected. Interment will be at St. Felix Cemetery, Wabasha. Casket bearers will be Kathleen’s eight nieces and nephews and John Klees.
