Mary Ann Longley 
Mary Ann Longley passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Houston Hospice facility in Houston, Texas. She was born July 17, 1951 in Rochester, Minnesota to Donald and Marian (Baker) Passe. She graduated from Wabasha High School in 1969. She went on to graduate from St. Cloud State University in 1972. She married Larry Longley August 19, 1972 and they had two daughters. They moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and then to Washington, DC on their way to Houston, Texas. Mary Ann first worked at The University of Texas Health Science Center before working as a lab technician in a research lab in the Department of Cell Biology and Dermatology at the Baylor College of Medicine. She spent her career at Baylor researching skin disorders until she retired in 2012.
 Mary Ann enjoyed gardening and spent many weekends planting and caring for her well tended yard. She also enjoyed taking road trips and camping with her family. She and Larry were very active members of St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church in Houston and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, volunteering for St. Vincent de Paul Society, teaching Sunday school, and joining in other church activities.
 Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Lauren and Wesley Craig, Houston, TX and Stacey and Chris Smelley, Houston, TX; one grandson, Joe Craig, Houston, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Heidi Passe, Durand, WI; two nieces, Wendy (Mitch) Allen, Deer Park, WA and Amy Passe, Durand, WI and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Longley, parents, Donald and Marian (Baker) Passe, her step-mother, Corabelle Passe.
 A prayer service in memory of Mary Ann and Larry will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00am at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha with the Reverend Father Gregory Parrott officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour before the service.  Larry Thomas Longley
 Larry Thomas Longley passed away Saturday, September 17, 2016 in El Nido, Palawan, Philippines while on vacation. He was born May 31, 1950 in Junction City, Kansas to Clarence and Anna (Braun) Longley. He graduated from Wabasha High School in 1968. He joined the U. S. Army after graduating and was stationed in the Aleutian Islands in Alaska during the Vietnam War. He married Mary Ann Passe August 19, 1972 after leaving the Army. They had two daughters. They moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and then to Washington, DC on their way to Houston, Texas. Larry began working at AT&T in Houston, Texas in 1979. He worked 33 years with AT&T before retiring in 2012.
 Larry enjoyed taking road trips and camping with his family. He also loved a good crossword puzzle.
 Larry went back to school to earn a certificate in Pastoral Theology from the University of St. Thomas in 2003 after joining the Catholic Church. He became a deacon in the Catholic Church in 2003. He and Mary Ann were very active members of St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church in Houston and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Larry enjoyed serving as a deacon for St. Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, singing in the church choir, teaching Sunday school, and participating in church activities.
 Larry was also a dedicated and loving husband. After his wife, Mary Ann, was diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy he dedicated himself to caring for her until he passed. She died just a week after him.
 Larry is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Lauren and Wesley Craig, Houston, TX and Stacey and Chris Smelley, Houston, TX; one grandson, Joe Craig, Houston, TX; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary and Glen Polyard, Wabasha, MN; half-sisters, Hazel Bentz, Minneapolis, MN, and Nancy Simpson, Los Angeles, CA; niece, Karen Polyard and two nephews, Steven Polyard, and James (Cindy) Polyard, all of Wabasha, MN and cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ann (Braun) Longley, brother, Timothy Longley, half-sisters, Lois Longley, Lavern Larson, Joyce Longley, and Barbara McLean, two half-brothers, Kenneth and David Nelson, and niece, Charlotte Polyard.
 A prayer service in memory of Larry and Mary Ann will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00am at the Abbott Funeral Home in Wabasha with the Reverend Father Gregory Parrott officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wabasha. Military rites will be performed by the Wabasha American Legion Post #50, the Burkhardt-Roemer VFW Post #4086 and the MNSARNG Honor Guard.
