Nadean Becker

Nadean Becker passed away in her home in Wabasha MN in May 2026. Neddy grew up in Sheboygan Falls, WI, often visiting her dad and uncles who ran the Sheboygan Falls Creamery. She met her husband, Alex, at a local dance, and they married in 1959. Early in their marriage, Neddy and Alex alternated between living in Milwaukee, WI and Rochester, MN. They eventually settled in Rochester in the 1970s and 80s where they raised their two daughters and a son. Neddy worked with the NW Bell/US West phone company until she and Alex retired in Wabasha, MN where they enjoyed boating and living in their home on the Mississippi River. Neddy and Alex loved to travel, and visited every continent with the exception of Antarctica. They spent 20 years wintering in their “second home” in Mazatlan, Mexico.Neddy enjoyed her community at Faith Lutheran Church in Wabasha. She was active in refugee support activities throughout her adult life, and acted as a Shelter Coordinator for the Red Cross during national emergencies, most notably Hurricane Katrina and the California wildfires. Neddy is preceded in death by her husband Alex, her parents, two sisters, and two nephews. She is survived by her two daughters, son, grand daughter, daughter-in-law, nieces and nephews, and cousins.A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 27 at 2pm. A family interment will be held in Sheboygan, WI in the fall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Red Cross (redcross.org)
