Ruth J. Williams

Ruth J. Williams, 99 of Wabasha, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021, at Gundersen-Saint Elizabeth Health Care Center, Wabasha.
Ruth Joan was born October 27, 1921, in St. Paul, MN to John and Margaret (Landusky) Kubow. She graduated from the former Washington High School, St. Paul. On June 11, 1955, she married Merlyn Williams and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1994.
Ruth was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church, the CCW, sang in the church choir; and a member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She was a past member of the Wabasha-Kellogg School Board. In her early years of employment, she was a legal secretary for Dan Foley Law Office.
She is survived by two nieces: Carole Peters and Mary Jo Lyons; a nephew Mark Lyons; grandnieces: Colette Peters and Felicia Schneider; a grandnephew Nick Schneider and four great grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two sisters: Eleanor Lyons and Dorothy Matschi.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at St. Felix Catholic Church, Wabasha with Rev. Glenn Frerichs officiating. Interment will be at St. Felix Cemetery, Wabasha.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
