The City of Mondovi is looking to acquire several parcels of land near the Buffalo River on the city’s southeast side that are in the designated flood plain. Federal mandates require municipalities to comply with flood mitigation by working to clear structures from the flood plain, and the city could obtain grant funds to help purchase the properties.
