ANDREW YEALEY

Andrew F. Yealey, 86, of Mondovi, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire.
He was born February 2, 1930 in Aberdeen, South Dakota, son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Mahr) Yealey.
At age five, his family moved to Fall Creek, where he attended school. At age 17, he enlisted in the Marines.
Upon his return from the Military, he began his career as an iron worker. He was a proud member of the Iron Workers Local 512 for 34 years, in addition to owning and operating his own farm in Naples Township from 1966-2014.
Andrew married Lois Hageness on Nov. 14, 1953, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mondovi. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church of Mondovi, where he taught Sunday school and was on the church council. He also served as church council president. He was very involved in the planning of the new church.
Andy loved spending time with family and holiday gatherings. He loved to cook, hunt, fish and raise cattle. He was also a member and proud supporter of the Mondovi Conservation Club.
He is survived by four children, Joan Yealey (Mark Bauer) of Mondovi, Dean (Sue) Yealey of Hudson, Lynne (Russell) Bauer of Chippewa Falls, Lance (Brenda) Yealey of Mondovi; five grandchildren, Joy Yealey, Jennifer (Gary) Gollnow, Cherylin (Lance Parker) Yealey, Brittany Yealey, Andrew Bauer; six great-grandchildren, Grayce, Sophia, Brycen, Paisley, Alexander and Noah; brother, James (Selma) Bonewald; brother-in-law, Theodore (Yvonne) Hageness, Jr.; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; infant twin son and daughter, John and Jean Yealey; stepfather, Carl Bonewald; sisters, Patricia (Bill) Hughes, Kathryn (James) Mackey; infant brother, George Yealey.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29, at Central Lutheran Church in Mondovi, with Pastor Rolf Morck officiating. Burial followed at Oak Park Cemetery, Mondovi, with Military Honors by the Mondovi American Legion Post 154.
Kjentvet-Smith Funeral Home of Mondovi assisted the family with arrangements.
