Bruce Winberg

Bruce Wayne Winberg, 66, of Menomonie, Wis., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at Dove West Healthcare in Eau Claire.
He was born on March 15, 1952, in Mondovi, to the late Lonnie and Doris (Wik) Winberg.
Bruce was a hard worker, loved life, and never complained. He was a manager at Don’s Super Value in Menomonie, and also spent many years as a custodian at Peace Lutheran Church, as well as the Menomonie School District. Bruce enjoyed socializing, especially at McDonalds for coffee. His passion and love was the Menomonie football team, who enjoyed visits with him and his many football stories. He was a true Wisconsin Sports Fanatic. He will be missed on the annual family trip to Wisconsin Dells. He and John enjoyed going to the casino to appreciate their life and sobriety together. He was a very proud husband, father, and especially grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patty; children, John Winberg and Amy Canfield; granddaughter, Tianna; siblings, Rachel Roellich, Dwight (Nancy) Winberg, Wally (Sherrie Saxe) Winberg, Beth (Gary) Stanton.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Leora Schultz; step brother, Stevie Winberg; great-niece, Miranda Roellich
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 11, at Peace Lutheran Church, 917 7th St E, Menomonie. Visitation will be on Friday at the church, from noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, is assisting the family with arrangements.
