Burnard Rosenthal

Burnard “Sonny” W. Rosenthal, 86, of Mondovi, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi.
Burnard was born on Dec. 2, 1929, in the Township of Washington, Eau Claire County, to the late Joseph and Gena (Knudtson) Rosenthal.
Sonny farmed on the homestead property for many years in the Township of Drammen. He enjoyed family gatherings, visiting with friends and neighbors and was often seen at various events in the area.
Due to declining health, he has been a resident at the American Lutheran Home in Mondovi for the past three years.
He is survived by sisters, Elaine (Harold) Goetz of California, Wilma (Al) Miland of Janesville, Beverly (Richard) Brion of Mondovi; brother, Raymond (Ellen) Rosenthal of Mondovi; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Arline Grorud, Lois Rosenthal, Lila Peterson; brothers-in-law, Calvin Grorud and Lynn Peterson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 11 a.m., at the Drammen Lutheran Church, S12275 County Tk B, Mondovi.
Visitation will be held prior to the services at the church from 9 to 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in the Drammen Cemetery.
