David Lee Bloom, 67, of Mondovi, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Marshfield Medical Center.
He was born in Mondovi on Dec. 9, 1950, and was the son of Lester and Darlene (Zenger) Bloom. David graduated from Eleva-Strum High School and was a farmer for most of his life until retiring to Strum, Wis. David was a member of Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing, farming, watching old movies, classic country music, and reading. David will be remembered for his sense of humor and his jokes. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with his family.
David is survived by his two daughters, Carrie (Cory) Gustafson and Elizabeth (Kyle) Corriea; two grandchildren, Hazal and Colton; sister, Nancy (Rodney) Hanson; several aunts and uncles; two nieces, Candice (Richy) Hann and Sally (Tom) McMahon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Darlene Bloom; stepmother, Orvilla Bloom; and the mother of his children, Carolyn (Rindahl) Ryan.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, at Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church, rural Eleva, with Pastor JonPaul Dragseth officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Lunch will follow the service. A private interment will be held at Oak Park Cemetery, in Mondovi.
