Eileen Rud
Eileen Emma Rud, “Sissy,” 85, of Mondovi, passed away on June 17, 2016, at Garlick’s CBRF Inc./Flo’s Adult Family Home in Durand.
Sissy was born on Sept. 2, 1930, in Dover Township, to Carl J. and Ella (Bidney) Rud.
She grew up and worked very hard on the farm. She also spent a lot of time on the Albert Rud farm and Dell Whelan farm.
Sissy loved her pens. Anyone she would see, she would ask, “Do you have a pen for me?” She also had a love for baby dolls and stuffed animals.
Survivors include Norman (Roselyn) Rud of Janesville and Albert Rud of Mondovi; sisters-in-law, Marlene Nelson and Norma Rud; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Alton (June) Rud, Margaret (Myron) Knecht, Ruth (Vern) Leichner, Ethelyn (Dell) Whelan, Carl James (Betty) Rud, Orlyn (Lorraine) Rud.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Mayo Home Health and Hospice and The HomePlace of Mondovi, where she resided for many years; also to the staff at Flo’s Adult Family Home in Durand, where she resided the last 1 ½ years and to the other friends she made within Garlick’s CBRF, Inc.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Youth Group and Sunday School.
Visitation for Sissy will be held on Friday, July 1, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, rural Mondovi. A Memorial Service will be held at noon on Friday at the church. Interment will follow in Good Shepherd Lutheran Cemetery.
