Frank Joseph Kothbauer passed away in his home on March 22, 2019.
He was born on Aug. 28, 1932 to Frank and Louise (Brantner) Kothbauer, on the home farm, in rural Durand, Wis. He attended school at Holy Rosary Lima, Wis. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Mondovi Conservation Club. He was a church usher at Sacred Heart, in Mondovi, and Holy Rosary, Lima.
He married Vivian Heath on June 12, 1951. He farmed all his life and started his own implement business on his farm near Mondovi, Wis. He also was a truck driver for Agriliance, Durand Coop and Cenex. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and the outdoors.
He is survived by wife Vivian; six children, Mike (Sheila), Pat, Dale, Rita (Scot) Miller, Frank Loren (Colleen), Ed (Karen); 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Terri, Mary, Samantha, Aubrey, Sydney, Nathaniel, Melinda, Casey, Jenna; six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by their infant child, Frank Allen; parents, Frank and Louise Kothbauer; sister, Louise (Norbert) Weiss; brother, Richard (Loretta).
A memorial mass was held on Tuesday, March 26, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Mondovi, with Father Paul Bosco as celebrant. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, in Mondovi, at a later date. A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the Mass
