Judy Lubinsky

Judy A. Lubinsky, 70, of Mondovi, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Sacred Heart Hospital, surrounded by her family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1947, in Eau Claire, a daughter of the late James and Leannah (Peterson) Thompson.
Judy attended Mondovi schools and graduated from Mondovi High School with the Class of 1965.
On Nov. 6, 1965, Judy was united in marriage to Dale Larson. To this union, two daughters were born, Pam and Karen. They later divorced.
On Dec. 7, 1991, Judy married Jerry Lubinsky, in Bullhead City, Ariz. Judy traveled and worked with Jerry throughout the U.S. while on the pipeline.
Judy worked at both the SuperValu and Bob’s IGA stores. Judy would later purchase JJ’s bar in Gilmanton. After selling the bar, Judy returned to ownership at a later date. She later worked at LinRu’s in Mondovi.
Judy will be remembered for her heart of gold and would always be there to help others when needed. She enjoyed camping up north with family and adored her children and loved her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Pam (Jeff Bloom) Larson of Mondovi and Karen (Al) Anderson of Baraboo, Wis.; grandchildren, Natalie, Eric, Joey and Gracie; great-grandchildren, Braxton and Onnaleigh, who affectionately called her “2nana;” sister, Linda (Don) Rudy of Mondovi; mother-in-law, Glenna Burroughs; stepchildren, Earl (Toby) Lubinsky, Scott (Bobbi) Lubinsky, Beth (Jess) Cole; step grandchildren, Craig, Bradley, Ryan, Carisa, Ashley, Lindsay and Dillon; brother-in-law, Dennis Lubinsky; sister-in-laws, Patsy (Duane) Kuzba and Kathy Jones; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry; brothers-in-law, Glen Poeschel and Dave Jones.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 22, at 2 p.m., at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi Chapel, with Chaplain Gary Preston officiating. Enurnment will be at a later date in Riverside Lutheran Cemetery.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday from noon until the hour of the memorial service at 2 p.m., at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi Chapel.
The family would like to thank Dr. Naqvi, Nancy and staff of Marshfield Cancer Center and the eighth floor oncology nurses.
