Margaret Nogle

Margaret M. Nogle, 93 of Mondovi, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Chippewa Valley Hospital, Durand.
She was born on June 15, 1925, in Mondovi, to John and Agnes Elenora (Risberg) Werlein, and lived in Chimney Rock, Wis. during the early years of her life.
A lifelong resident of Mondovi, she was a Mondovi High School graduate of 1944. She had many special memories with her classmates at Putzier’s grocery and Blum’s bowling alley. After high school, Margaret worked in Hastings, Minn., at Smead Manufacturing, while Art served in the war.
She married Arthur G. Nogle on Wednesday, May 7, 1947, and they were able to share 36 years together with their children. They enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with friends. Margaret worked at Ben Franklin store from 1964 until she began working at the elementary public school as a teacher’s aide in 1972, retiring in 1995. She had a soft spot for children. Margaret enjoyed crafting and was well known for her knitted baby sweaters and pairs of slippers. Her door was always open to any visitor and her home was a warm place to reminisce and laugh; she always had a sweet treat or two to share.
She was a faithful and devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mondovi, and was proud to have started the prayer chain in 2002 with the Senior Altar Society.
Margaret left an indelible impact on those who knew and loved her. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor, love of cardinals, knitted crafts, joy of reading, and the great love that she had for Art and her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her children, James (Jane) Nogle, Thomas (Nanette) Nogle, Jane (Dale) Larson and daughter-in-law, Kathy (Scott) Wisniewski; grandchildren, Scot (Darcie) Nogle, Seth Nogle (finance Amber Berg), Shae Nogle (fiancé Stacey Zaverousky), Amanda, Sara and Joseph Nogle, and Jacob Larson; great-grandchildren, Brysen and Anicka Nogle, and Violet Nogle; sisters, Noreen “Nooks” Haas and Patricia (Howard) Freund; sister-in-law, Jeanette Werlein; special friend, Mary Kinne, and daughter Amy; special nephew, (her “4th son”) John Haas; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art; son, Michael; brother, James Werlein; three infant sisters; brother-in-law, Vincent Haas.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Mondovi, on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m., with Father Paul Bosco presiding. Cremation rites were accorded and Margaret was interred at 3 p.m., at the parish cemetery that day. A visitation was held at Talbot Family Funeral Homes, Mondovi Chapel, on Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. and again at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass.
Please share your memories and condolences online at www.talbotfuneralhomes.com.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kenneth Rucker and the entire staff at Chippewa Valley Hospital for their compassionate and excellent care of Margaret.
