Myrle Ardus Supri Werner, 99, formerly of Durand, Wis., passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018, at the Plum City Care Center.
She was born Nov. 9, 1918, in Plum City, daughter of Paul and Minnie (Oberding) Lampman.
On Sept. 28, 1939 she married Lyle E. Supri, in Wabasha, Minn. They lived in Rice Lake and Durand, where they owned various gas stations. Myrle did the bookkeeping and helped at the pumps. They later operated the Durand Bus Service.
Myrle was active in the church and enjoyed camping and snowmobiling. She always had a smile for you when you stopped for coffee and there was always fresh baked cookies. Myrle volunteered at the nursing home in Durand and completed a 120-hour nursing course.
Lyle died in 1984. Myrle married Norman Werner in 1989. They enjoyed going to car shows, church get-togethers and listening to music. Norman died in 1995. Myrle spent her later years baking and she put on a lot of miles walking with her dog.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Jim) Hutchins of Mondovi, Wis.; son, George (Jane) Supri of Grand Rapids, Mich.; grandchildren, Jacob (Liz) Supri, Erin Supri, Todd (Jill) Hutchins, Toni (Doug) Knoepke; five great-grandsons; seven great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Minnie (Oberding) Lampman; husbands, Lyle and Norman; sisters, Norma King, Wanda Abbott; brother, Paul, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Leo King, Dean Abbott and Lon Bellesback.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, at the Community of Christ Church, in Arkansaw, with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. A private family burial will be at a later date at Porcupine Cemetery.
