Nathan Kummer

Nathan Donald Kummner, 31, of Mondovi, passed away unexpectedly and tragically on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2018.
He was born on Sept. 7, 1986, in Mondovi, one of two sons born to Dale A. and Kim M. (Koger) Kummer.
Nate attended Mondovi Schools, graduating from Mondovi High School with the class of 2005.
On Feb. 5, 2011, Nate was united in marriage to Jessica Cornelius, in Eau Claire. They brought together three children, two sons of their own and a precious daughter, Kylynn, his little “Monkey,” which Nate adopted and loved as his own.
Nate was employed at Curt Manufacturing, of Eau Claire, before he started his employment at Ashley Furniture, in Arcadia.
Many will remember Nate for his love for fishing or spending time hunting at the cabin, also 4-wheeling and being adventurous in his own way.
Nate was quiet, yet strong. He always would lend a hand to those in need…never asking for something in return. His greatest most treasured passion in his life, that was absolutely second to none, were his three children that he loved so much
Nate was a young man that was lost too soon, a life that will be cherished and sadly missed by his parents, Dale and Kim of Mondovi; his brother, Justin (Danielle) Kummer of Mondovi; his wife, Jessica, and their sons, Kaiden and Kenneth; niece, Maycee Kummer; nephew, Christopher Schofield; maternal grandparents, Donald and Barbara Koger, of Eau Claire; along with his aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Nate was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Sandra; and his precious and adorable daughter, Kylynn.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m., at Central Lutheran Church, in Mondovi, with Pastor Rolf Morck officiating. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery, in Mondovi. A visitation was held on Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 4 until 7 p.m., at the Talbot Family Funeral Home, Mondovi Chapel, and again on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
