Phyllis Kent

Phyllis H. Kent, 84, passed away at The Villa at Lincoln Park, Racine, on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017.
She was born in Mondovi on March 30, 1933, daughter of the late Paul and Verna (nee: Kosek) Hart. Phyllis graduated from Mondovi High School in 1951, and then moved to Racine.
Phyllis’ family was most important to her, and she worked hard to provide a home for them. She retired from All Saints Hospital in 1999, where she worked for many years as an Intake Assistant. Although poor health kept her from many activities, she did get enjoyment from following current political/social events, watching the Packers, and a wide variety of television and movies.
Phyllis is survived by her children: Mindy (Rick) Hetland of Racine, Pamela (Russ) Howard of Nelson, BC, Canada, Brian (Kim) Kent of Burlington, Vt., Greg (Donna) Kent, Barry (Lisa) Kent, Jenny (Jim) Schumacher, all of Racine, and Kerry (Christine) Kent of Eagle River, Alaska; grandchildren: Kendra, Kayla, Fuchsia, Tess, Neil, Max, Steven, Megan, Jamie and Scott; great-grandchildren: Jessi, Alexander, Collin, Eion, Cielle, Juniper and Savannah; brothers: Richard Hart of Kenosha, Bill (Sandy) Hart of Eau Claire; sister, Kathy (Bob) Crawford of Racine; other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Kent; brothers, Paul Hart and David Hart; sister Margaret Rud.
Services were held at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home, Racine, on Tuesday, Jan. 2. Private burial took place in Graceland Cemetery.
