Laursen earns spot on 2015 all-WIAC team

Collin Laursen, a 2011 Mondovi High School grad, and seven of his UW-Stout football teammates were recently named to the 2015 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Football Team, announced on Wednesday, Nov. 18.

Laursen was a Second Team all-WIAC pick on the defensive side. 

The senior defensive back capped his collegiate career on the gridiron with 74 tackles, 46 of which were solo stops, good for third-highest amongst his UW-Stout teammates despite missing two games earlier in the season.

Laursen also had 3.0 tackles for a loss and recorded five pass break-ups while playing several of the team’s safety positions.

An Honorable Mention all-WIAC selection in 2012 when he amassed a career-best 78 tackles, 41 solo, Laursen missed out on most of the 2013 season due to an injury. In 2014, he tallied a total of 66 tackles, 42 solo.
