County debuts new highway shop in Mondovi with open house event

The Buffalo County Highway Department rolled out its new Mondovi facility with a community open house last week. Located on S. Eau Claire St., the new 180x50-foot shop is sized correctly for modern equipment that is easily accessed via the building’s commercial-sized doors.

Area residents and county workers mingled during the open house event to feature the new shop and its contents. The Mondovi shop houses five county trucks, a grader and an end loader.

Buffalo County Highway Commissioner David Brevick explained the features of one of the county’s newest trucks to curious open house guests. Protecting the expensive equipment was a driving force behind putting up a new shop building in Mondovi, county officials say.
