Mondovi teen wins heifer at Minn. Beef Expo as part of hands-on learning program

Abby George of rural Mondovi recently became one of 10 youth to receive a beef heifer at the 2015 Minnesota Beef Expo as part of its Minnesota Youth Beef Experience Program.

Each beef animal awarded to MYBEP youths is provided to the program through a sponsor. Pictured, Abby George received her Shorthorn heifer from Justin and Whitney Vogel of Rogers, N.D. George will communicate with the Vogels on a regular basis, providing progress reports about Lady Belle over the course of the next year.

Lady Belle, a Shorthorn heifer, has been entrusted to Abby’s care for the next year. The pair plan to compete in several shows, including one at the 2016 Minn. Beef Expo.
